Lessons with your horse cost the same as my studio lessons but with an additional travelling charge of £5 per visit (depending on distance).

Background
Having taken early retirement from Primary school teaching I remembered an article I had read some years before and sought out an Alexander Technique teacher, never thinking that this would lead me to retrain as one myself. I attended the York Alexander Technique School and completed my three year full time training there in July 2006. I then opened my Posture Plus business in the UK before moving to the Isle of Man in 2012. I now run my own studio in Cronk Y Voddy and also work with Follan Natural Health Centre.

Main Work
I teach mainly on a one to one basis but also offer semi-private lessons for two people at a time. I am also happy to give talks, demonstrations and workshops.
I am passionate about teaching and love the interaction I have with my pupils. Everyone learns more easily if they are smiling and having fun and whilst I take my work very seriously I believe in making the Alexander Technique experience a happy and joyful one. I get a huge amount of satisfaction knowing that I have helped someone to move more easily, recover from injury and subsequently save themselves from further damage. I can teach you how to use your body more efficiently and help prevent recurring problems.

Horse Riders
In addition to my main work in the studio I also specialise in helping horse riders with their posture which in turn helps the way their horse moves. Personally I have been riding for over fifty years and have been fortunate enough to be trained by some of the best coaches.
However, I also help a wide range of sportsmen and women, musicians and people who have to speak in public. One of the wonderful things about the Alexander Technique is that once learned it can be applied to any activity.
I hold the BHS Stage 3 certificate and I recently qualified to teach riders using Franklin balls
